For Students Attending a NSW Government Primary School

If your child currently attends a NSW government primary school:

Complete the online enrolment application.
Attend an interview with the Deputy Principal (we will contact you once your application is received to schedule the appointment)

If you live outside the Wiley Park Girls High School catchment, you must also:

Introducing our Year 7 Adviser (2027 Year)

My name is Ms Zacharia and I am the Year Adviser for the 2027 Year 7 cohort at Wiley Park Girls High School.

I am passionate about student wellbeing, confidence and helping young people build positive relationships.

As the Year Adviser, I will work with this group of students from Year 7 through to Year 12. My role is to help students settle into high school, support their wellbeing, and guide them throughout their time at school. I will also work closely with students, staff and families to ensure each student feels supported and has the opportunity to grow and succeed.

I look forward to welcoming the 2027 students and supporting them as they begin their high school journey at Wiley Park Girls High School!

Before your child starts Year 7

Our transition program

We work closely with local primary schools to help students feel ready. Our transition to high school programs help Year 6 students get ready for Year 7. Activities prior to commencement include:

our Wellbeing Team and Year Adviser visit primary schools to speak with students about the transition to high school, offering support and guidance to ensure a smooth and confident move
parent information sessions and meet the teacher events
orientation day.

Students, parents and carers can join these sessions to learn about daily schedules, uniforms, lunches and communication. If you need an interpreter, let us know.

Getting ready at home

You can help your child prepare by:

talking positively about starting high school
buying uniforms, shoes, stationery and school supplies
checking if a laptop or device is needed
practising their travel route to school
making sure they know your phone number and emergency contacts
encouraging routines such as packing their school bag
encouraging them to check their timetable and school bell times the night before day 1 of Term 1.
