On the 19thof March 2014, students from our school accompanied by our Deputy Principal, Ms Agapitos , teachers Mrs Mourad and Mrs Stefanidis and our CLO Mrs Poa attended Harmony Day celebrations at the Orion Centre, Campsie.
There were outstanding performances from four of our different dance groups. During the Greek dance group performance the audience were clapping and we even had our MC perform her own version of the Zorba. Our Pacific Islanders looked beautiful with their colourful costumes and graceful dance moves, our Sierra Leone dancers had the crowd yelling for more with their enthralling dance moves and finally our expressive Arabic students won over the audience with a combination of traditional and modern dance.
The atmosphere at the Orion Centre was thrilling and unforgettable. Our school's attendance was acknowledged by the Mayor of Canterbury with a certificate of participation.
The day was a huge success and was a display of harmony and unity in our community.
